Stargate (Project)

The CIA and Defense Intelligence Agency’s program of remote-viewing research, run principally at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) from 1972 to 1995. The program funded extensive parapsychological investigation, including the trained remote-viewing protocol developed by Ingo Swann and the operational viewers Joe McMoneagle and Pat Price. Declassified through the 1990s and into the present; the CIA Reading Room holdings are the principal public-record source. The program is the documented intelligence-agency interest in non-mainstream consciousness research that frames the SRA discussion.
