Tree of Life

The central diagram of Kabbalah, depicting ten sephiroth (emanations) connected by twenty-two paths, arranged in three vertical pillars. In Hermetic Qabalah — the Western adaptation developed in Renaissance Christian-Kabbalistic work and elaborated by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn — the Tree functions as the master diagram of correspondences: each sephirah is associated with a planet, a colour, a god-form, a Tarot suit; each path with a Hebrew letter, an astrological sign, and a trump of the Major Arcana. The diagram is the structural curriculum of Golden Dawn initiation.
