Sigil of Baphomet
The official emblem of the Church of Satan: an inverted pentagram enclosing the head of a goat, surrounded by Hebrew letters spelling Leviathan. The Church holds US trademark on this specific composition, which was first published on the cover of The Satanic Bible (1969). The composition is distinct from earlier Baphomet imagery (Lévi’s 1854 figure, the medieval Templar accusations) in that it is a deliberately-designed organisational seal rather than a free-standing symbol.
