Wiccan Rede

The principal ethical maxim of Wicca, conventionally given as "An it harm none, do what ye will." The form in widest use today was published by Doreen Valiente in her 1964 Beltane address to the Witchcraft Research Association. The Rede is read by adherents as a guideline rather than a strict commandment, and is frequently paired with the Threefold Law (the principle that any action returns to the actor threefold). The principle resembles Crowley’s "Do what thou wilt" in surface but is given different ethical weight by Wiccan practitioners.
